Situated on the south west coast of Turkey, just 12 miles south of Fethiye, lies the popular resort town of Olu Deniz. A coastal resort, Olu Deniz is focused around the stunning lagoon, and its turquoise blue waters. Surrounding the town are the beautiful hillside pine forests, which are so typical of this part of Turkey. Within the forests, a wide range of activities including hiking, horse riding and para-gliding can be enjoyed on a daily basis.

 

One of Turkey’s most picturesque resorts, Olu Deniz is today protected by its national park status, ensuring that development in the region is less intrusive, and kept to a minimum. As a consequence of the restrictions imposed on development in the resort, the majority of the property in Olu Deniz tends to be situated in the nearby towns of Hisaranou and Ovacik, which are located at the top of the valley. Public transport between the resorts is both regular and reliable, and tends to be utilised by the majority of visitors to the region.

 

Access to Olu Deniz is predominantly via the new Dalaman International Aiport, which is located just under one hours drive away. Recently opened, a large number of low cost airlines now offer cheap flights into Dalaman, and return flights from the UK can cost as low as just £79.99. Today, Olu Deniz is a popular, family orientated resort, which is increasing in popularity with the European tourist industry. As a result of this, there has been an increasing demand for property in Olu Deniz and the surrounding areas over the past year, a trend which looks set to continue for the foreseeable future.
