Amazulu World to be launched in South Africa.
Ruwaad, the Dubai based property developers have announced the launch of their new Amazulu World, which will be a 16,500 hectare development, to be situated on the South African coast just north of Durban.
Amazulu World, which will be built with the support of Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini, will be a mixed use development, including a number of hotels, resorts and spas, nature facilities and a variety of residential villas.
Developer Ruwaad said it believes that there is a lot of potential in the country. 'South Africa does not only offer an excellent year-round climate and some of the world's most outstanding natural beauty, but recent developments in the country have been pushing it to become one of the strongest emerging markets in the world,' said Hayan Merchant, group chief executive of Ruwaad.
The key to the success of Amazulu World will be its variety of different zones, according to Ruwaad. A genuine lifestyle community, the development will become Africa’s largest shopping destination, as well as including Africa’s most advanced sports village development.
Political worries have tended to overshadow investment in South Africa in recent times; however the SA authorities are continuing to invest in the region which is situated north of Durban. This invested, coupled with the impending investment interest surrounding the 2010 World Cup, which will be hosted in South Africa can only bode well for individuals considering investing in the country.

Amazulu World will be situated on a 16,500 hectare site just north of the Thukela River, between the city of Durban and Richards Bay. Access to the development will be via the main N2 motorway and the new $1billion King Shaka International Airport.
The Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, The Honourable Sibusiso Ndebele, said he believes that Amazulu World will pave the way forward for even more foreign investment in South Africa. 'Developments like this will make South Africa a sustainable destination of choice and an economic hub that will boost trade, tourism and development for the entire African continent,' he said.
