Balad region set for rejuventation project
A recent report on Arab News has stated that the historical Balad region of Jeddah is set to benefit from a $932m rejuvenation project which will be starting in February 2009. The rejuvenation project will see the historical district of Balad divided into two major zones, the Waterfront and the Historical area.
The project is the latest positive news regarding the rapidly expanding Saudi Arabian property market. A number of large property developers have recently announced new projects in the region, as they seek to capitalise on the increasing demand for property from the expanding and increasingly wealthy population in Saudi Arabia.
